Karate Kid Movie Producers

Being a producer for a major title such as Karate Kid, out on June 11, 2010, one would probably need a pretty impressive background in the field.  Jerry Weintraub is no exception.  He has a very varied background in the field of arts.   Indeed, he worked for many successful musicians in the past, but as well as being in the music business, Weintraub co-published a book and appeared in various movies.  In 1986 he won Producer of the Year award, from the National Association of Theater Owners.  He has produced many movies and the upcoming Karate Kid movie was one which he produced along with other producers, as well as Susan Elkins, a co-executive producer.  Perhaps most impressive in his career to date was getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, since there are very few independent film producers to be honored in this way.
